Rachel Carroll is an innovative and passionate graphic designer skilled in creating and implementing complex initiatives for a multitude of organizations.
DIGITAL CREATIVE & DESIGN SPECIALIST (June 2020—Present)
THERMO FISHER SCIENTIFIC - CORPORATE INFRASTRUCTURE & SECURITY, Frederick, MD.
As a designer for ThermoFisher, I worked closely with the graphic design and communications team to develop, implement, and promote company-wide projects such as Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the Corporate Infrastructure & Security 2020 rebrand initiative, the Latin America "Email less, collaborate more" campaign, and a TON more. I created both printed and digital collateral, digital signage, interactive guides, and infographics.
ThermoFisher allowed me to hone my skills in motion design, which boosted our team's design capabilities to outside static images. I created animated trailers, GIFs, and videos promoting and celebrating events and projects. These pieces elevated the importance of CIS to the rest of the company and were applauded for being engaging and creative.
ALUMNI, MARKETING, AND PUBLIC RELATIONS COORDINATOR (September 2019—March 2020)
CAMP KESEM AT GEORGE MASON UNIVERSITY, Fairfax, VA.
As an Alumni, Marketing, and Public Relations coordinator for Camp Kesem, I worked alongside my co-coordinators to maintain our social media platforms, design posters for campus events, create newsletters and business cards, and design logos for GMU specific Camp Kesem shirts.
COMMUNICATIONS INTERN (June—August 2019)
NATIONAL PACE ASSOCIATION, Alexandria, VA.
As a communications intern, I created a variety of promotional and web materials for NPA. I designed the posters for National PACE Month, an annual celebration of PACE and its constituents, staff, and members, which was sent out to every participating PACE program in the country. I was a head content manager for their content management system, Drupal, and I created hero logos and callout cards for their website.
